Fake Biography

Stu, Mac and Clive is a band that has aged like the ingredients in a good wine.  The more time that passes, the more robust the flavor is.  Like a healthy grape vine, their roots stretch far into the underground.  The three musicians used to play in the thrash/funk phenomenon known as High Defiance.  They were one of the pioneers in blending metal, rap and hardcore with a live d.j. and growling gang vocals.  In 1995 they achieved some light weight fame with their "Lessons From Hate" c.d. and were nominated for "Best Hardcore Band" in the Boston Music Awards.  After five years of playing shows the band parted ways.

The High Defiance drummer and one of guitar players kept playing in a new band called Bloodmask.  This brutal death metal band played many shows in the New England area mixing their aggressive sound with a Brazilian percussionist.  If you could picture a tank crashing through a Samba dance hall you can get the vibe.  They released several self produced and studio produced recordings in their years performing together.

While Bloodmask was laying siege on the local mosh pits, the High Defiance bass player played in both Nok and Curbfeeler after his departure from the group.  All through the 90's and into the new millennium he played throughout the east coast.  Nok was a crushing metal/core band while Curbfeeler was a two bass attack that kept many a young bootie shaking.  Several c.d.'s were released by these two innovative groups.

All this vast experience came back together in 2005 with the creation of Stu, Mac and Clive.  Sometimes serious and sometimes comical these three wacko musicians brought their styles together to create a sound that is tough to categorize but easy to recognize as some kick ass American rock-n-roll.  The bands first five song c.d. named "Short $ for Sally" got them rolling in the local scene doing a few dozen club shows and small parties.  In the spring of  2008 Stu, Mac and Clive will release their first full length c.d. on Silly Hat Records.  A dynamic ten song musical experience called, "Dirty World Supreme."
